TM
Sanctioned Event !

Thanks to everyone who helped to make the first Dallas Fort Worth Coral Farmers Market event a great success ! We acheived a total attendance figure of 160. There was a total of 6 coral farming vendors displaying their corals within 5 systems. An amazing amount of propagated corals was offerred for sale by our vendors. See the images below of the actual corals that were offerred for sale. This was one of the most logistically difficult Coral Farmers Market that we have operated. Our support equipment was driven in two vans over a two day trip from Southern California to Dallas Texas. The Coral Farmers Market setup 4 rental tanks and our coral transport system was utilized to transport over 300 fragments to the event. The Coral Farmers Market transported the fragments for two vendors along with all the raffle and auction corals. These logistical operations all worked flawlessly. We have been getting some great feedback from the attendees and vendors. From a financial point of view most of the vendors did very good. The attendees were very active and kept the vendors busy. The Dallas Fort Worth Coral Farmers Market received excellent support from the Dallas Fort Worth Marine Aquarium Society. The new local hobbyist organization the Dallas Marine Aquarium Society also participated. We definitely plan to hold a second annual Dallas Fort Worth Coral Farmers Market during the winter or fall of 2009. Three of our vendors from this year have already stated that they will return for the 2009 DA-CFM event. We will update this web site with the new information sometime during early 2009. We are adding images of the 2008 event below !
