2009 Inland Empire Coral Farmers MarketSM Event

The Inland Empire Coral Farmers MarketSM company (IE-CFM) was formed during the winter of 2008. Steve Tyree and Art Petit (owners of the Coral Farmers MarketSM companies) decided that running a second annual event in the Ontario California area would be a good business decision. The SouthWestern Coral Farmers MarketSM has been the most successful of the first 4 Coral Farmers MarketSM events that both Art and Steve own and operate. Vendors that participate within the SouthWestern Coral Farmers MarketSM event have also been asking for a second event in the same area each year. The logistics involved with supporting another event in Ontario were already in place and can be easily utilized. We also have realized that a second Coral Farmers MarketSM sanctioned event in this area would help to support our vendors throughout the year. It would also give our attendees greater access to these vendors corals each year. From its very beginning, the Inland Empire Coral Farmers MarketSM has also been about promoting farmed corals. We do not permit the selling of whole imported wild coral colonies at the event and any farmer that violates this rule will be banned from IE-CFM events for 2 years. We are planning and hoping that this large scale coral farming event continues to grow in size and scope every year.

The Inland Empire Coral Farmers MarketSM company is a business services company. We are all about bringing coral farmers and coral aquarists together to conduct free market exchanges. Once inside the event, the buying public is free to conduct business directly with participating coral farmers. The main revenue sources for IE-CFM include the selling of booth space to retailers, the selling of event raffle tickets during the event and the charging of event auction fees during the event. We believe that this Inland Empire Coral Farmers MarketSM will eventually be one of the larger events within the United States where selling farmed corals is the main attraction. The IE-CFM company also supports local reefing communities and online internet communities. We have invited some local Reef Clubs to participate and they will have Midscale booths.
